Welcome the Year of the Snake with These 4 Fun Recipes

Hey Reader,

Welcome to the Year of the Snake. The start of Lunar New Year was this past Wednesday, but it goes for two weeks, and this is the perfect time to celebrate it!

Making Asian dishes at home (because while we may have grown up knowing it at Chinese New Year, the Lunar New Year is celebrated across multiple Asian countries and cultures) is easy and so tasty.

And way cheaper than ordering takeout - sometimes even faster, too!

Cooking Asian food is easier than you think!

Cashew Chicken is always one of our faves at a restaurant, but it's also super simple to make at home!

Egg rolls are one of my favorite appetizers, but they can be a pain to make. Egg Roll in a Bowl, however, is quick and tasty and can be your whole meal.

Sweet and Sour Chicken is another favorite, and this baked version is definitely better for you than the kind you order - but my family promises that it's just as yummy.

And while Fortune Cookies aren't a traditional Chinese dessert, they are a fun tradition. Make them at home, and stuff them with your own fun fortunes!

There are so many delicious flavors and options - and I got to taste many of them on a NYC food tour last week. Food tours are my fave, and if you're in New York anytime soon, I highly recommend checking this one out.

Happy Cooking,
Michelle
